Bill Fay, Life Is People (2012)

I’ve already said all I need to say about this album right here. But I did want to mark it as part of the countdown; it’s an album I bought on vinyl – no hearing the CD first to be sure, no review-copy; just straight in and purchased, hopeful, optimistic. Sure that the album would be a worthwhile listening experience at least. It’s actually one of my albums of the year. And it was a nice reminder to go back to the early work from Bill Fay. Gorgeous stuff. I really like the way this album will, in its own way/relative to this age and era, remain relatively undiscovered. In keeping with the earlier material then. Listening to this album has given me a lot of joy this year. And it will for many years to come. I know that already. I’m very sure of that.
