V/A, Hannah And Her Sisters [OST] (1986)

I loved this film but I’ve only seen it the one time; unusual for me as the Woody Allen films I love usually get two or three watches, minimum. But hey, there’s always time (allegedly…) But it’s one of my cherished soundtracks – and I have a few of the Woody Allen soundtracks. It started with a compilation CD; that was so good I started picking out individual soundtrack albums – because it’s so easy to find them on vinyl (and cheap). Actually the Radio Days soundtrack is a favourite. I imported the CD – because that one, certainly, is a film that exists for the music and because of the music. Soundtracks to Woody Allen films are very well selected, usually. A timelessness in so many of the musical selections, or a clever subversion of incongruity – or some shit like that. Anyway, this is one I dig. And playing it the other day has reminded me to rent the film again for a second viewing.
Sample Track: You Made Me Love You (Harry James)
