ZZ Top, La Futura (2012)
Yes, yes, I’ve reviewed this album already – so I have little to add here. Other than to say I bought this – double vinyl even. And I’m loving it. Playing it a lot. It’s got me right back into ZZ Top. And that ain’t no bad thing I reckon. Sure they didn’t do anything you needed to hear for 30 years. But they’re back on track with this. And that first decade smokes along nicely I reckon. Still does. So it’s forward to this LP for me. And then back to the old – early – LPs too. I hope they come touring this way again. For a long time I’ve been thinking about how great it would be to see an in-form ZZ Top. I’m not sure they’ve still got it live but on the strength of this I’m going to assume so. Man, that would be great. Don’t you think? (Excellent music for housework by the way; I put a side on and do some vacuuming. I got that trick from my mum).
