Scott Walker, Bish Bosch (2012)

Making music without precedent – that’s the aim with this guy, surely? It’s all a big joke – but it ain’t mere folly. It’s art built from the spare parts of someone else’s nightmare. Once every decade, or half-decade when he’s feeling super-prolific, Scott Walker makes music that you have to wrestle with – and you want to. Or should want to. I still love the crooner stuff too but the albums across the last two decades (three in total) are mind-warpers. And I love that. Already reviewed this album – see here. Had to go straight out and buy it on vinyl. So that’s why I’ve just written this. Now.
Sample Track: SDSS14+13B (Zercon, A Flagpole Sitter)
