Paul Simon to play two NZ shows

Paul SimonPretty excited about this one. Paul Simon plays two NZ shows – Rufus Wainwright is the opening act. I saw Paul Simon a few years back doing the Simon & Garfunkel show with Artie. It was good. But, when Simon took a solo spot he really came alive, so did the music, so did the audience. His whole demeanour changed – it was a gear change for the evening.

Since then he’s released one of his best solo albums. He’ll have a killer band.

Can’t wait. The only catch? Auckland and Dunedin are the venues. The South Island will be stoked.

Dunedin’s Forsyth Barr Sadium on Saturday, April 6 and Auckland’s Vector Arena on Monday, April 8.
Will you be going to see Paul Simon and Rufus Wainwright?

I’m going to make a chicken gumbo and toss it in a pot! The recent live from the Webster DVD is worth checking out.
